Road to Dunkirk Part Deux: Arras Counter-Attack

Leeds Night Owls is hosting a 'Fall of France' campaign, an enjoyable series of non-competitive games for all participants. This event is a follow up to the very exciting part one that took place at the end of 2025 at Leeds Night Owls.

Introduction

The event will be a multi-player game of Bolt Action focusing in on the events surrounding the fall of France in the summer of 1940. This scenario recreates the British counter-attack at Arras on May 21, 1940. The Germans, focused on their advance, suddenly face determined British resistance.

Forces

Attacker (British) - 1250 points – Early War British

Defender (German)- 1000 points – Early War German

Objective

The British must control at least three key objectives located across the centre of the board by the end of Turn 6.

Deployment

Meeting engagement.

British - Begin with a preparatory bombardment on Turn 1, representing the shock of the counter-attack. British forces deploy using Fog of War rules.

Germans - Must deploy within 12 inches of the board center.

Board Setup

The board should feature several fields and a small village to provide cover.
